Support 4 Sight helps support people with visual impairment (VI) along with their families in Mid & West Essex, in addition we also offer an Employment Support service throughout all of Essex to help VI people to seek employment or to retain their existing jobs.
We organise coffee mornings/ roaming resource hubs throughout mid and west Essex where you can access information, advice and guidance on living with sight loss, as well as demonstrations of assistive and digital equipment, whist enjoying a coffee and a chat with other VI people. We carry out home visits for people who are not able to attend our coffee mornings.
We provide lunch/supper clubs and social outings for our VI community, as well as telephone befriending for people who are socially isolated or lonely.
We also run a weekly low vision clinic at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow.
Visual impairment awareness training is available to assist organisations and businesses.
