The Essex Wellbeing Service (EWS), is a non urgent, non clinical service supporting people in the community with a range of health, wellbeing and day to day needs, working together with our partners:

- Reed WellbeingÂ
- Terrence Higgins Trust
The Essex Wellbeing Service is a free service and funded by Essex County Council. The service covers the County except the unitary bodies of Southend and Thurrock.
EWS can support residents of Essex with the following:
- Stop SmokingÂ
- Social IsolationÂ
- Improving SleepÂ
- Children’s Lifestyle ServiceÂ
- Physical ActivityÂ
- Emotional Wellbeing
- Weight Management and Healthy EatingÂ
- Strength and BalanceÂ
- Support and Independent LivingÂ
- Reducing Alcohol ConsumptionÂ
- Free NHS Health Checks or Wellbeing Check
Support can be offered in the following ways depending on your individual needs –
- Telephone support
- One to One Support
- Self Help Programmes
- Digital SupportÂ

Part of the work of this organisation is being able to make amendments to the homes of the elderly. They will visit the home for an assessment and can make adaptions such as handrails, raising toilet seats and adding bathroom chairs. They can also help with blue badges.
