Community allotment project based on an allotment site in Saffron Walden. Our volunteer group meets weekly at the allotment, where we work together to create an attractive, productive space and learn how to grow organic fruit and vegetables..
Volunteering is open to everyone – we have good disabled access and all ages and abilities are welcome. We can offer extra help for people who are unemployed, or who have wellbeing needs.
In season, volunteers will often be able to take home produce that they have helped to grow or we might create shared meals in the field kitchen. Dig It regularly arrange courses on horticultural (and related) skills and work parties for other local outdoor projects.
