She Who Dares are an outdoor pursuits group of women, founded 30 years ago in Harlow. Over the years we’ve had a go at all sorts from kayaking to climbing, sailing to synchronised swimming, high ropes to hip hop, bowling to boarding. You name it, we’ve tried it! These days we are more sedate, walking, cycling and treasure trails. We cover the region and wider. ABOUT US
She Who Dares is a group for women of all ages and abilities who meet on Wednesday mornings to take part in new and exciting sports, activities and adventures.
We are a friendly supportive group and the sense of achievement, exhilaration and team spirit is immense.
Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is necessary. There is no membership fee, just the weekly charge for each activity.

The group was formed over 20 years ago. Now women of all ages and abilities meet each week to take part in new and exciting challenges that they may not have considered before.
​
Many women join the group once their children have started school or university, or when they have a little more time on their hands. Some join to avoid the housework! But most join to experience a real buzz from the great sense of achievement, exhilaration and team spirit the sessions can bring.
WEEKLY EVENTS
The group meets on Wednesday mornings throughout the year during term time to participate in new and exciting sports and challenges both indoors and out or just to meet up with like-minded friends for a walk or a game of badminton. We also get together for a meal every couple of months and organise several weekends away each year.

No previous experience is required to join the group and if appropriate we are fully supervised by qualified instructors from the venues we visit.
THE ACTIVITIES
Country walks, bike rides, canoeing, kayaking, climbing, abseiling, orienteering, archery, high ropes, dinghy sailing, Tai chi, racket sports, synchronised swimming and many more! There is something for everyone but if there’s something else you want to try, we love our members to plan and run activities, so do get involved.
